Deschutes Children's Foundation is a registered public non-profit corporation governed by a Board of Directors and managed by an Executive Director. The Foundation receives no tax dollars and relies on the community' s support to continue serving children and families.

Deschutes Children's Foundation's mission is to promote a community of services for children and families, and its primary means of accomplishing this mission is by housing and managing facilities for programs that provide direct services. Deschutes Children's Foundation provides the following at 4 rent-free, collaborative campuses: Space occupancy rates are far lower than fair market value for comparable spaces in Bend because the Foundation donates a large portion back to the programs. This frees funds for direct services. The close collaboration and the benefits engendered by being in close physical proximity to other programs serving similar populations mean ease of communication, but also means better, more complete services to individuals and families.
